When You Think of Us, Pray for Us (V2) is a remixed and remastered version of the (essentially) lost first Hollow Boys EP. Recorded in early 2012 and quietly released that summer, the EP was the first actual transmission from the Gloom-pop trio, here pared down to a duo following the shedding of a number of band members and the abandonment of two EPs of solo demos that the band had been circulating at shows.

Raised on a steady diet of horror movies, 50s and 60s pop music and caustic garage rock, the album became a monstrous yet sweet amalgamation of those influences. It blends pitch-black lyrical themes; the language of the supernatural; multiple extended homages to songs by The Shirelles, the Ronettes, Roy Orbison and Brian Eno; sheets of screeching noise and walls of sludgy guitars to make a singular thing that both points to where Hollow Boys would go next and also make something singular that they could never return to.

For those reasons, it fell by the wayside over the years, being deleted and re-posted on and from various services (and tapes never re-pressed after the tour for it in fall of 2012). Here - presented for posterity - is the definitive version; remixed, remastered and re-sequenced for a better listening experience/trip down memory lane/first excursion into the murky weirdness that was our first real recording/etc.
